5.2-Channel Home Theater

The HT-R593 contains five amplified speaker channels for front left/right, center, and surround left/right speakers together with two subwoofer pre-outs.

This allows a traditional 5.1 speaker system or a 5.2 setup using two powered subwoofers.

Powerful Onkyo Amplification

For the North American model, Onkyo rates the HT-R593 at 65 watts minimum continuous power per channel into 8-ohm loads, with two channels driven from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at no more than 0.7% total harmonic distortion.

Six HDMI Inputs

Connect multiple compatible entertainment devices using six HDMI inputs and one HDMI output.

The receiver supports HDMI ARC, CEC, DeepColor, LipSync, compatible 3D signals, and 4K video passthrough.

4K Video Compatibility

Onkyo documents video passthrough up to 4K 60 Hz using YCbCr 4:2:0.

This is a 2014-generation receiver. Onkyo's documentation does not list modern HDMI features such as HDR, Dolby Vision, HDMI eARC, or HDCP 2.2. Modern copy-protected 4K/HDR source devices may therefore need to connect directly to the television, with audio returned to the receiver through a compatible connection.

Dolby & DTS Audio
