The Wave SoundTouch Music System IV uses Bose proprietary waveguide speaker technology to produce spacious, room-filling stereo sound from a compact enclosure.
The integrated design provides strong low-frequency performance and clear vocals and instruments without requiring separate speakers or a separate subwoofer.
Built-In CD & MP3 CD Player
The integrated single-disc player supports:

Following the end of Bose SoundTouch cloud service, Bose states that Spotify Connect and compatible AirPlay streaming should continue to operate where supported.

The matching Bose SoundTouch pedestal sits beneath the Wave Music System IV and provides its network connectivity.
The pedestal connects directly to the Wave system through the Bose link connection, creating the complete Wave SoundTouch Music System IV configuration.
AUX Input & Headphone Output
A 3.5 mm AUX input allows compatible external audio devices to play through the Bose system.
Compatible sources may include televisions, computers, portable music players, phones, tablets, and other equipment with an appropriate analog audio output.
A 3.5 mm headphone output provides private listening with compatible wired headphones.
Clock & Dual Alarms

The SoundTouch preset buttons should no longer be promoted as an active cloud music-preset feature.
Bose also states that SoundTouch products no longer receive Bose software or security updates. Bose recommends using SoundTouch products only on a secure private network.
Important Alexa Information
Alexa voice commands through Bose SoundTouch are no longer supported.
This system should no longer be advertised as “Works with Alexa.”
